Around Scolton

If you’re looking to have fun and relax without venturing far, there’s plenty to do around Scolton.

For a start, guests are free to use our swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Or, you could treat yourself to a relaxing treatment in our on-site spa.

Scolton's also a very safe place for children to play. Whether they're messing around in the adventure playground, firing shots into the football goal or feeding the animals, there’s loads to keep young ones busy, while you sit back and relax.

There are picnic tables and benches dotted all around, so you can enjoy a bite to eat, read or just take in the breathtaking sunset over Plumstone Mountain (that's the image you can see at the top of the page).

Our large fenced pond is home to ducks and moorhens, who are always happy to greet visitors bearing bread! Scolton is also home to a pony, goat and chickens.

You could also enjoy the many woodland walks around Scolton Country Park next door, which our guests can access directly.

Scolton Manor.

Here, there’s a wealth of wildlife, plus a museum, adventure playground, coffee shop, gift shop and, of course, the Scolton Manor house, where you can learn the history of Scolton.

The park also hosts various events throughout the year. So, depending on when you visit, you could get to experience Proms in the Park, the Vintage Car show, the Model Aircraft show, and visits from the Sealed Knot Society.

If you fancy popping out for a drink or a bite to eat, the local pub – The Pump on the Green – is just couple of miles away in the neighbouring village of Spittal. ‘The Pump’ provides excellent pub meals and Sunday roasts in a family-friendly atmosphere.
